It’s hard trying to pick out the perfect gift for Dad.
Start with a card…the rest will follow!

These simple silhouette cards are perfect for Father’s Day!
We started out by printing out simple clip art that made us think of Dad.
We laid our image on top of a piece of cardstock and cut it out, leaving a silhouette of the image on the cardstock.

Then we cut thin strips of magazine paper, layered and glued them on a blank card. We laid the cardstock on top of the magazine strips and glued it down.

These cards are great for Father’s Day or any occasion!

Dad’s are always so difficult to think of card ideas for. This is quirky and fun and could be any simple shape. My dad is into cameras, so maybe I can find a way to do this with a camera shape.
Hi, Just to let you know I did make a "version" of this card for my dad, I did mine a little bit differently but totally inspired by your idea, so thanks so much. (I shared a quick photo at this weeks Handmade Monday)
Love how you glued the cut silhouettes over the printed paper. Very creative. Thanks for sharing at #HomeMattersParty
These are super cute! Love the use of the newsprint. Visiting from Thursday’s Favorite Things party.
Love these cards guys! The newsprint is perfect. Thanks so much for linking them up to the Inspiration Galore Project part last week. You are one of my Features this Sunday over at http://www.recreateddesigns.com. Have a great weekend!
