When we think of Easter we automatically think of space. Don’t you? ? Ok, we know the whole concept of this tree is OUT THERE! On every level…but aren’t Easter trees in general?

It seems like we’re all in outer space these days anyway so it seems fitting!

When Treetopia reached out to us about decorating an Easter tree we both realized we had never thought of decorating one before. (Other than hanging eggs on tree’s in our front yards in our childhood…is that still a thing?)
Honestly, we had never thought of decorating a Halloween tree either until Treetopia reached out to us 3 years ago…and now we’re obsessed with our Halloween trees!

Wait, you haven’t seen our crazy over the top Halloween Trees?!
Back to Easter!
When said “yes” we thought of all the Easter ideas- bunnies, chicks, flowers…don’t get us wrong, we love the classics, but we wanted something different.
So we tried to think of some more random ideas- Easter veggies? Easter cats? EASTER IN SPACE!!! It just clicked. It’s random alright, but we love space and we thought we could have a lot of fun with it. And we did!!

Because the pink tree is so vibrant on it’s own we wanted to keep our tree minimal. We had a handful of space inspired ideas, but narrowed it down to two ornaments. When we finished the ornaments we put them on the tree, but felt like something was still missing. We cut out white stars using our Cricut Maker, but the white pulled from the ornaments so we made them light pink and think they are the perfect subtle addition. Sometimes less is more! There’s already so much to look at, no need to muddle it. (Obviously, looking back at our Halloween trees, we don’t always feel this way.)
