We’ve been wanting to take a silk screen printing class for a long time but they are expensive. So, we decide to do some research and make our own!

Luckily, we had most of the materials in our apartment. All you really need is Mod Podge, an embroidery hoop and panty hose to create the silk screen.
We decided to make vintage style pennants and used cork board because we knew we would get a clearer image than printing on fabric.

Honestly, this project took a lot of trial and error but it was so worth it and we love the end result!

So fun! Watched the "big reveal" twice; loved your reactions. You’ve inspired me to try this on a t-shirt. Visiting from BFF.
Hahaha! Yay! Glad you like it! Let us know how the shirt turns out! Xoxo
I’ve been wanting to try screen printing too but had no idea I could make something like this myself.
Yes! Takes a bit of trial and error but it’s super fun! Gotta try it!
What a clever idea! And it looks great as well
We’re always in a New York state of mind! Thank you, Linda!
I did quite a bit of silk screening in one of my college art classes and I’ve been wanting to try it with my boys but didn’t know how to do it without all the "professional" gear we used. I love this idea. The pennants are adorable. Pinned.
Yay! Thank you!
Thanks for such a great and fun project. I look forward to trying this.
