What a crazy time we are all living in! We’ve been self isolating in our one bedroom apartment in Queens during the Covid-19 NYC lockdown. We were just starting to do some light renovations on our space, but because of everything that’s going on we’ve put the major projects on hold for now. In the mean time we have been doing some really simple things to our space that make big impacts.

It’s a large enough apartment that we aren’t going totally crazy but the only downside is that we don’t have any private outside area…which has been making us a little stir crazy!
We’ve been spending most of our time crafting, cooking and making small changes to freshen up our home…and of course, lots of cuddles with Teddy.
Don’t get us wrong, we also have lazy days that we sink into the couch, eat nonstop and watch all the shows!
If you’re having one of those days where you’re feeling motivated but don’t know what to do…we put together a few ideas to help you keep busy and pass the time!

Change out your art!
Use what you already have like decorative paper, fabric or t-shirts to swap out your framed art work. Small changes will really give your space a new feel and look!
Hide your clutter!
No mess, no stress. This is a great time to get organized and purge.
However, if you’re like us and want to live in a more minimal environment, but can’t get rid of as much stuff as you want…hide it, by creating a fake panel.
We’ve been using this trick for years and have a full tutorial and tons of other hacks from when we organized our craft supplies!
Make a stovetop potpourri!
We usually do this around the holidays, but it has been getting stuffy in here!
Throw your fruit scraps like citrus peels into a pan with water and let it simmer on low!
