We got an embossed heat tool a few years ago and have barely used it. We have so many craft supplies hidden that sometimes we forget what we have. But thankfully, it hit us to add a little sparkle to our vintage lab charts and glitter seemed too messy.

We’re really patting ourselves on the back with this one, because we made a craft without a trip to Michael’s! Thats a big accomplishment for us!

All our chart images were found online with a quick Google search and printed on cream colored cardstock. Then we embossed some highlights with some bright blue, pink, purple and gold embossing powder.

We turned them into hanging charts with small square dowels that we distressed with gray acrylic paint and hung them with thin twine.

We can’t wait to show you our first Halloween tree tomorrow!

These are so classy and this idea can translate into any holiday.
I love the video , especially the fact you wore yellow washing up gloves to decorate your tree! (Do you call them marigolds? that’s what we call them here in the UK) My youngest was a scary mad scientist one halloween when he was about 8 and wore a doctors coat, swimming goggles and marigolds! Honestly it was a lot better than it sounds.
