Are you a believer in the spirit world? Either way, you don’t have to be a psychic to guess our Halloween tree theme this year!
If you know us, you know we love a themed tree! Last year we threw it back to the golden age of horror and the year before that we got weird with science!
For our first ornament we’re using our Cricut Maker to make mini Ouija boards. The great thing about this project is that you can download the SVG file for FREE and create your own Ouija board…whatever size or for whatever project you’d like!
How to:

Cut a piece of balsa wood to size.

Paint the wood with shades of brown watercolor.

Use our template and size on Cricut Design Space.

Select the “cut” option from the Linetype dropdown menu.

Cut a piece of black vinyl to match the size of your Ouija board.

Lay the vinyl facing up on a standard grip mat.

Load the machine and watch the Cricut do it’s magic. (The machine will guide you through the process – even making sure the right tool is loaded.)

Carefully remove the cut vinyl off the mat then peel and weed away any unnecessary surrounding vinyl.

Cut transfer tape to size and stick onto vinyl design pressing down firmly.

Gently peel off transfer tape backing with vinyl and position on the center of wood, smooth and rub down.

Lightly peel off transfer tape leaving the vinyl on the wood.

Summon the spirits!
