We were so excited when Plaid asked us to create something for Christmas using their Mod Podge Mega Glitter! We love glitter, but hate the mess, so we were excited to try it.
We’ve be obsessed with those small glass display cases with the gold trim, so we wanted to create our own…but Christmassy!

We used plastic craft sheets (Shrinky Dinks Rough and Ready Paper) to create our “trees.” Before putting the pieces together, we coated with them with the Mod Podge Mega Glitter. A little goes a long way but we wanted to get the most sparkle that we could, so we added a few coats.
Once it was all dry, we used washi tape to put it all together (and added a bit of hot glue on the edges just in case!)
The plastic craft sheets ended up being a little flimsy, so we created a sturdy base using balsa wood and wood beads for legs.

We decorated them using miniatures, bottle brush trees and a light sprinkle of snow! Walking in a sparkling wonderland! Thanks Plaid!

You can watch the video to see it all come together!

those scenes came out really nice. Totally captures the cold weather with a little bit of Christmas cheer added. I didn’t know there was glitter Mod Podge. Going to have to get some now.
